In Situ Cosmetics Free Samples Review.

I was recently followed on twitter by this company called In Situ Cosmetics, now with me being a lover of all things beauty and skincare, I was intrigued at who this company was, so I proceeded to their website, to have a little nose around, thats when I found out they are a skincare brand which 100% tailor to you. They focus on creating a range of skincare products which fit your skin perfectly, they use natural fresh ingredients which for me makes these products even more appealing. Whilst looking around their site I noticed a section called 'Samples', I clicked on it and was happy to see that you can get upto four free samples,
♥ Personalise By Essence
♥ Sample Body Care
♥ Sample Face Care
♥ Sample Eye Care
I of course ordered all four because I am always on the look out for new skin care products, once you have decided what product/s that you want to try, you then create your version of the product by selecting the texture, your skin concern and your mood boost.

Personalise By Essence
Time of Application - Morning or Night
Favourite Texture - Butter, Cream, Exfoliating Body Wash, Gel, Gel Body Wash, Lotion
Skin Concern - Detoxifying & Purifying, Hydration & Protection, Radiance & Luominosity
Favourite Aroma - Almond Milk, Caramel Toffee, Cocoa Chocolate, Gardenia, Green Apple, Honey & Vanilla, Mysterious Jasmine, Rosebuds, Tropical Coconut and Wild Cherry.
( the words bolded are what I picked)

This body wash was 100% hydrating, it made my skin feel really soft and the smell, oh my, I love coconut scented products and this has got to be the nicest scented body wash I have smelled, it has take over from my love of Coconut and Cream by ilovecosmetics.

Sample Body Care
Time of Application - Morning or Night
Skin Type - Dry, Normal, Sensitive
Favourite Texture - Butter, Cream, Exfoliating Body Wash, Gel, Gel Body Wash, Lotion
Skin Concern - Cellulite, Detoxifying & Purifying, Firming & Toning, Hydration & Protection, Stretch Marks
Mood Boost - Aphrodisiac, Happy Feeling, Passion Potion, PMT Rescue, Total Unwind
( the words bolded are what I picked)

I picked the butter texture in this, because personally I prefer thick body butters, I feel that they sink into my skin better than lotions, I went for Happy Feeling because I am a happy person and all of the other options didn't really affect me, I also picked stretch marks, because I am always looking for new ways to somehow reduce my stretch marks on my stomach, I hate them with a passion. So far I am loving this body butter, and where you don't need too much, this little pot will last me quite a while.

Sample Face Care
Time of Application - Morning or Night
Skin Type - Combination, Dry, Normal, Oily, Sensitive
Favourite Texture - Cream, Gel, Lotion
Skin Concern - Blemishes & Pimples, Deep Wrinkles, Fine Lines & Early Wrinkles, Hydration & Protection, Instant Firming.
Mood Boost - Anti Stress, Calming & Relaxing, Concentration & Focus, Emotional Fatigue, Feel Positive, Self Confidence.
( the words bolded are what I picked)

This face cream had a lovely scent to it, very fresh, I picked blemishes & pimples because at the time of ordering I was having random breakouts and I couldn't work out why, so I thought I shall try this cream for night time, to see if it would have any affect, and personally I think it did, I wore only a small amount for 3 nights in a row, and my breakout did decrease, they didn't completely disappear but they did reduce a lot which pleased me so much.

Sample Eye Care
Time of Application - Morning or Night
Favourite Texture - Balm, Cream, Gel
Skin Concern - Dark CirclesDeep Wrinkles, Fine Lines & Early Wrinkles, Hydration & Protection, Puffiness
Mood Boost - Balancing & Calming, Kick-Start, Passion Potion, Self Confidence, Spirituality
( the words bolded are what I picked)

Now, I don't use face cream in my daily skin care routine, mainly because I am only 18 and I find that just using a wake me up eye roll on and illuminating under eye concealer is enough for me, however I gave the eye cream a go, to see if it would work better, and personally I found it did give the skin under my eyes a boost and counteracted the dark circles, but I think I shall stick to my eye roll on and concealer, eye cream just isn't for me just yet.

So, overall I would definitely purchase at the full price the shower gel, body butter and face cream, you should definitely give In Situ Cosmetics a try, I was really impressed with the unique make of products I was created; one thing, your getting four great quality samples for free but their is a small delivery charge of £3.00 but they arrive quickly and they are packaged beautifully.
If you are interested, the link to their website is here and the link to the samples page is here also they are on twitter and they took the time to direct message me to find out how I got on with the products which I thought was a lovely touch, this is the link to there twitter.

Let me know if you do order yourself some free samples and how you get on with them.

Fearne's Travelling Beauty.

For Christmas I was fortunate to get a make up set from Fearne Cottons cosmetic range, I have previously tried a trio of her eyeshadows and found them to be really good quality, so I was really excited to have a small range of her products.

(I know this image is sideways but I was having terrible problems trying to upload it, blogger kept switching the rotation of it)
Right! First impressions of the packaging were WOW, I love how solid the black and white stripes stand out, the bold vibrant flowers on the cover just look amazing, all round it looks a really nice looking set to carry around with you. When I opened it this is when I learnt of how it splits into two and you can actually use it as a mirror stand too, and you get a pretty decent size mirror with it.
What the Fearne Travel Beauty contains:
♥ one lipstick
♥ one mascara
♥ six eyeshadows
♥ two blushers
♥ one double ended eyeshadow brush
♥one small blusher brush

The Eyeshadows:
Top L-R
♥ They call it brown but I think its more of a gold
♥ Light Grey
♥ Nude
Bottom L-R
♥ Dark Grey, but if you apply heavily it looks black
♥ Dark Brown/Purple
♥ White Glitter

The two blushers in this set are really nice, the lighting washes out the baby pink blusher and makes the bronze colour look orange but they honestly both look really nice once applied to the face.

Now, when celebrities bring out their own make up ranges I am always wary of their mascara's or even when shops do their own make up range, personally I feel they just forget about the mascara, and all seem to just have the same thing, black packaging, soft bristle brush with 'MASCARA' written on the side of the bottle, so I really didn't have high hopes for this mascara because I thought it would be just the same as all the others, however I was pleasantly surprised, this mascara applied really easily, didn't clump together like lots of them do, it didn't drop onto my face whilst applying it, and it was actually really pigmented and gave my lashes a lovely natural yet volumized look with I really did not expect. I would be happy using this on a day to day basis when I am at work, or having a lazy day and then it means I can save my Benefit they're real and my Liz Earle mascaras for days when I am actually doing things and not being lazy on the sofa.

This lipstick, firstly the packaging is gorgeous, secondly its so creamy, it felt moisturising on my lips. The colour is a very pinky nude, when I first applied it I thought I wasn't going to be able to wear it because it looked as if I just had foundation on my lips but after a few coats to build up the colour it looked really nice, and I don't actually own a nude colour lipstick, I seem to have everything else so it's a bonus for me that I now own one.

This is the baby pink blusher, the nude lipstick, the mascara and I also have on the nude and gold eyeshadow but you can't really see it. Pleas excuse the huge faux fur headband, I was just about to go out for a walk in the freezing cold snow with my mum, and it had actually started snowing again so I wanted to keep my ears warm.

I tried to find a link on the Boots website for this set, but I believe it was brought out for Christmas and now all her gift sets have gone in the sale, I know though that some of the larger boots stores have a  Fearne counter in amongst their make up section where you can buy all the pieces from her sets individually. I also found a video online of Fearne talking about this set and talking through the colours, so I shall link that here if you would like to watch it, its not very long, just over a minute.

Don't know which way to turn....

This is nothing like the sort of blog posts I do, nothing to do with beauty, fashion or lifestyle. Its about my life, and how I am stuck and really don't know which way to turn. I have wanted to write on here for a little while about this but I always put it off because it's not something fun to read but at the end of the day, this is my blog, I can write what I like and I really don't care.
My life was all great, everything was going swimmingly well, I finished school in 2010, went straight to college to study Media Make Up, I completed a year, learnt so much, got all distinctions in my work and completed the end of year show, during the summer of 2011 which I was then going to head into my second year, my mum was diagnosed with cancer, I instantly lost all interest in college and my mum and my family was my focus. I quit college to look after her with my dad through her operation and the gruesome Radiotheraphy that followed,  I basically shut off my own life to reassure my mums was safe. My mum told me that if I was going to leave college then I must get a job to at least give me some sanity. So I did, I got a Christmas Temp job and it kept my mind off things, I didn't tell anybody at my work what was going on at home and it was quite a nice break for me, when my contract ended they were unable to keep me on due to funds, but within two weeks I had a phone call offering me a part time job in a different department in the store, I immediately accepted and I am still their now. My mum recovered which I am so thankful for, she still has her moments but I don't care, I am one of the lucky ones.
However, now that she is well again, I have tried going back to college, I was offered to go back to my Make Up Course but I just didn't go, I love learned to be  a make up artist but I just don't love it as much anymore, I then tried an evening course of A Level Business Studies, which I left after 8/9weeks, it was one 3 hour lesson a week, and you learn the whole 2 year course in 30 weeks, it was too hard for me to get my head around, I think if I was doing the full two year course I wouldn't of had a problem but learning something so technical that fast I did. I now find myself, stuck in a job I don't like, wanting to get out, but not knowing where to go, I thought of going into admin and office work because I currently work in retail and I hate it, but I don't seem to be what admin employers want. I want to do something new, challenging and worthwhile, not be dossing about in a shop, having customers shout at me and everything becoming my fault because we don't have the exact thing they want, in their size on the shelf, I cannot do that anymore.
I feel myself just plodding a long, wasting my life, I know i'm only 18 and I should be thankful that I have a job considering all the unemployment in young people, but I can't help it if I hate my job so and don't know where to go.
Part of me feels that I just need some guidance of which was to go, I personally feel like I am just a college drop out with nothing more than a good set of GCSE's, something I had always said I would never become, I know I dropped out for a good reason and if it happened again I would do the same thing, I guess I just feel that now things with my mum are better and back on track, what do I do?

If you have any comments i'll be more than grateful, if your just going to be negative, then I would rather you either kept it to yourself or personally sent them to me at blonde.rebecca@hotmail.com because I don't want those sort of comments on my blog.

Snowy Snowy Snowy

SNOW!
I woke up to lots of snow this morning, I wasn't going to get out of bed but then I looked on my facebook and everyone was saying how snowy it was, so I thought I would take a look, and my word! the snow, was so thick, and white, just glistening. I instantly put on my trackies, hoody, welly socks and bobble hat, I just took my hair out of its bun and left my face as it was, with last nights make up on (tut tut tut) and braved the cold. It was soooo much fun, and actually wasn't that cold when I was out in it, I wanted to make a snow man but it wasn't the sort of snow that would compact together that well, so I decided to make a snow gremlin, I used pegs for his eyes, nose and mouth and then twigs for his ears, he looked so cute :) I then went on and did the usual snowy day things, made a snow angel, had a snowball fight and I have a 14ft trampoline at the bottom of my garden, so my dad dared me to go on it, so of course I did :)

New Look Haul.

So, it is absolutely freezing here where I live and their so snow falling outside my window, so I thought now would be a perfect time to blog about my recent purchases from New Look. I only got six things, and five of them were in the sale, so thats a bargain already.

The Shoes
These shoes were only £12 in the sale (originally £27.99) , I am addicted to heels, I own more than I wear and when New Look have a shoe sale I cannot help but buy a pair, these didn't look as high on the internet but when they arrived, I did gasp at how high they were, I measured them and they are 6.5 inches, and I am only 5ft4 so when I put them on, I end up 5ft10.5 which makes me look like a giant, but their silver, glittery and wedges so I can actually walk in them. I cannot wait to wear them, think I'm going to wear them when I know I wont be out for long, because I don't think I could stand a good 5/6hours dancing in a nightclub with these on straight away, I think they would kill my feet :(

Cross Earrings
For a good few months now I have had an obsession for cross earrings, I loved these little ones purely because they were tiny and they were only £1 (originally £2.50). I just thought they sweet and dainty, and I will never have enough cross earrings.

Heart Earrings
These were also only £1 (originally £6) they are quite thin so they and have rose gold edging which is what drew me to them, as they were in the sale, I did check to make sure all the diamantes were there because sometimes with New Look jewellery in the sale, studs can be missing but luckily for me, their was none missing.. yay

Square Earrings
Again, another £1 pair of earrings, these were originally £3.50, I just loved how sparkly they were, I love chunky studs, I can get away with these at work which is good, because they are too cute to not where all the time :)

Tartan Belt
This belt was an instant attraction to me, it was originally £3.50 but I paid £2.00 for it, it is so cute, and it will go perfectly with a plain black lace dress I have, I have previously a leopard print belt that has a bow on it but now I can wear this cute tartan belt.

Beige Studded Jumper
I love studs. Thats all I really need to say, this jumper wasn't in the sale, but it was only £22.99 and it is really good quality, its from the brand Cameo Rose within New Look, I went for a large because I find the sizing within this brand really small. This jumper is really soft, and I am going to wear it with my American Apparel Disco Pants or my River Island skinny jeans, its the sort of jumper you can wear casually or you could dress it up to wear on a night out, I like pieces of clothing that are versatile. If you like this jumper, click here and it will take you to the website.

So, thats the latest few bits I have bought from New Look recently, when I style these items I shall post an OOTD of them, I am also waiting for a package from ELF to come through :) so excited wanted a items on there for ages and I noticed the other day that everything I wanted had gone into the sale so I bought them, when they arrive I shall do a post on them too.
